Issue with consoles

I have multiple devices connected to serviio. Xbox360, PS3 and 2 Samsung tv's. All of my media is in .avi format. However for some reason certain files will play on my Samsungs but not on the consoles.
What information do I need to list and how do I go about collecting the information required.
