Serviio 0.6.2 compatibility issues with Java 6.31/6.32?

Hi,
I'm running a Win 7 Professional SP1 64-bit system, and have Serviio 0.6.2 Console application running (pointing to Serviio on my Qnap NAS). Also have Java JRE 6.30 x32 and x64 installed on different directories, and all apps are happy.

Lately I upgraded Java to Update 31, also tried Update 32 (both x32 and x64), and Serviio Console refuses to start. Following messages is displayed in a dialog box on reboot: "No JVM could be found on your system. Please define EXE4J_JAVA_HOME to point to an installed 64-bit JDK or JRE or download a JRE from www.java.com".

I have manually inserted an entry in the System Environmental Variables for EXE4_JAVA_HOME pointing to my installed Java folder but to no avail.

Note that all my other apps work fine, I have several apps that use either x32 or x64 JRE. My browser is Waterfox (64-bit version of Firefox).

Is there a fix? Seems only the Serviio Console app is not happy with Java versions 6.31 and above....?

Thanks for your help.

this usually happens when the JRE is not installed properly, AFAIK. Try to search the forum for the error message.

I have several other apps that rely on Java, and they all run properly so I guess Java must have been installed correctly. Also, as I mentioned, when I downgrade back to Java 6 Update 30, the problem goes away with Serviio.

By the way, the search engine doesn't seem to be working OK on the forum site as well, tried to follow your suggestion and search for the error message, and I get:

"General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

The SELECT would examine more than MAX_JOIN_SIZE rows; check your WHERE and use SET SQL_BIG_SELECTS=1 or SET SQL_MAX_JOIN_SIZE=# if the SELECT is okay [1104]
