Linux Mint Debian - devices dont list video folders

I have put the library to scan on Mint Ubuntu and now Debian several times. The library scans but for some reason XBMC on ATV2 shows only one of my video folders. I cant figure out why its doing this every time I have put a new library to scan. This recently started occurring I had no problem with this set up so far.
If it helps at all when I access the server from a UPNP app on my android it lists the folders but no files. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
