How does one stop thumbnails for images?

One of the reasons I abandoned Synology's own media server was its dreadful generation of image thumbnails (I calculated 3 months to do them.). I don't want thumbnails - I know where my pictures are.
I have looked everywhere but I can't see how to turn off image thumbnail generation. (If it matters: I am feeding jpg to a Panasonic TX-L42D25B which is seen as an Unrecognised Device.)
I have a Synology DS111, so pretty puny horsepower.

You said
"You can disable thumbnail generation on serviio console."
but I cannot find where you can do it. The only options I can see are tabs for Video and Audio.
Can you point me where to disable thumbnail generation for Images?
Thanks.

Yes, Images. Why would I want them? This is something the Synology developers don't understand. I am quite happy with the jpg's names and the containing directory's name. Neither MediaTomb nor Twonky generate them by default as far as I can see (but they have their drawbacks, that's why I'm looking at Serviio).
If I have ~40,000 jpgs it takes forever to generate thumbnails, probably longer than my attention span (lifetime?).

You cannot disable image thumbnails generation at the moment

That is a shame as Serviio came out top in my evaluation on my Synology. Can I be rude and ask if "at the moment" means "I am thinking about it" or "in your dreams Bob"? If not-thumbnailing might come in less than the time it takes to thumbnail, then I can live with Twonky for images and Serviio otherwise "at the moment" (!).
Thanks
Bob

I haven't thought about if unless you mentioned it. You can create a ticket but it might be a while before I get to it.

I too would really appreciate a way to disable thumbnail generation on photos. It totally kills the NAS. Is there a way to edit a config file or something as a temporary fix?
BTW: where are the thumbnails stored?
