The files are not reproducible

Hello, I use a device (Blusens Web:TV http://www.blusens.com/es/productos/hogar-digital/WEB:TV/) to connect the TV to the Internet, DLNA/UPNP compatible. I have no problem with other media servers (e.g. XBMC), but with Serviio, although I can move among existing folders and files, and despite having acknowledged extensions by WebTV, it doesn't let me play them (it works like when the files are not reproducible).

This device is a media server (like Serviio, built on MiniDLNA), not a renderer (player). At least from the information you've given.

hello again,

thank you for your answer!

yes, the "(String) Sink" has no info, but the device is a renderer because I can see perfectly the content which is served by other mediaservers as XBMC (and because the specifications of the product say: "client and server UPnP") ;)

Thanks

do you have a detailed log?

Hello again,

yes, the log is here:

https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B_-829a5woVJVGJQQ1VqZUJIQUk

The problem is that when I click on a file (a film, etc.), nothing happens: no alert message, but it doesn't work, it doesn't play the file. The icon of the file is the icon for the files which WebTV (the device) doesn't recognize, but there are common files (avi, mpeg, etc.) and the device play them if I access to them using a shared folder.

So I think it is possible the log has no line about this problem, as the file doesn't work and it doesn't show any error or alert message, it is like a non-existent operation because it has no result.

A detail I don't know if it is important: when the podcasts have the mp4 extension, Serviio change them to mpg. This also occurs with any stream I tried.

Thanks in avance

Try this profile

  Code:
    <Profile id="99" name="Blusens Web:TV" extendsProfileId="1">
        <MediaFormatProfiles>
             <MediaFormatProfile mime-type="video/vnd.dlna.mpeg-tts" name="AVC_TS_MP_HD_AC3_T">AVC_TS_MP_SD_AC3_ISO</MediaFormatProfile>
        </MediaFormatProfiles>
    </Profile>

The problem continues. And now, the podcast files have a "tts" extension.

I made a video to show the problem:

Thanks again :)

I'm not sure if XBMC actually has a DLNA/UPnP server component or if it's using a different protocol.

Can you try a different profile, for example Xbox360?

Hello Zip :)

I tried the Xbox 360 profile and still the same :( . Now the podcast files have a "wmv" extension.

Thank you for your attention

Does it work with any other server than XBMC? Like WMP, PS3MS, or similar?

Hello Zip,

WMP works (when it wants :-). I haven't tried PS3MS because I thought it only worked on the PS3 device. I have installed and it has said me a very valuable info I think can help us to know where is the problem.

I installed PS3Ms and it works perfectly. Web:tv reproduces all the files of the local network without problems, even it transcodes with subtitles. But, I installed several plugins and they doesn't work. They have the same problem than Serviio. I can't reproduce any of the files showed on the web folder.

When I watch the logs of PS3MS, I saw that the files of the local network are showed with a path of Windows (i.e. E:\MULTIMEDIA\PELICULAS\el rey del mambo.mpg).

In this case, web:tv identifies the file perfectly and it play it. But, when it offers a file of a plugin (i.e. "RTVE a la carta"), it uses the http protocol (i.e. http://www.rtve.es/resources/TE_NGVA/mp ... 096056.mp4), of course, and in this case web:tv doesn't recognize it as a reproducible file as is the case with Serviio.

When a client is used, which works with Serviio, i.e. XBMC, I looked at the logs and I think I understand that Serviio offers all the files, local and remote, using the http protocol, and it seems that this is the reason for explaining that web:tv doesn't identify any file which is offered by Serviio.

I typed this URL on the web navigator in Web:tv and it has worked perfectly. It played a film:

http://192.168.1.37:8895/resource/1058/MEDIA_ITEM/AVI*0

Here I show you the logs which confirm that web:tv (192.168.1.40) played the film served by Serviio perfectly:

Could this be the problem of Web:tv with Serviio? I have no idea about UPnP protocols.

Futhermore, on the web:tv developers forum, they say this:

"...now WebTV is an "UPnP client" (to reproduce by DLNA the contents of the PCs and Smartphones) and also it is a "UPnP server" (it allows that other devices get the contents of WebTV). Finally, it only remains that WebTV becomes a "UPnP media renderer", we need to achieve this in order to get the same performance that Airplay. Now we are working in this matter."

Best regards

UPnP always delivers the files over http, so that shouldn't be the problem. NOt sure what to do next, do they have a support forum where you could ask? Ie tell them to try Serviio and possibly identify the problem?

hello Zip,

Don't worry. I would like to thank your help and your interest. I asked for this matter on the web:tv forum. If they say me something, I will comment it here.

Thank you again
