Image slideshows/playlists

Hi,

I would like Serviio to play a slideshow of images according to a predefined order - basically a playlist for images. Is this possible?
The media browser has a Playlists menu entry, but I can't figure out how to actually add playlists there.

My second wish would be to be able to play images according to tags that I have defined via Windows Gallery. I imagine something like a virtual folder that includes all images with a certain tag. Is there any way to achieve this?

Thanks.

you can create playlists in .pls or m3u formats. There might be some tools, but basically it's just a list of files. Then share the playlist file and you'll see your playlist in the Playlists category.

Regarding tags - those are, I assume, internal values of Windows gallery, unless they are inside the images themselves as Exif data. If the former, it would be hard to get them.

Hi,

thanks for your reply.

I probably should have been more clear - I'm running the Serviio daemon on a Synology Diskstation, and I have the console on my Windows PC connecting to that daemon.
Creating a .pls/.m3u file in itself isn't really my problem, what I'm missing is how to get that playlist to Serviio. Could you give me some pointers here?

The tags are actually saved inside the images. I can for example see them in Irfanview (under image information - IPTC data - keywords).

just save the .pls file in a directoy that you share in Serviio
