[SOLVED] X_MS_MediaReceiverRegistrar Service

Dear all, my Serviio media server does not offer the "X_MS_MediaReceiverRegistrar"-Service for my Upnp/DLNA music streaming device. The streaming device is expecting the authorization information coming along with the "X_MS_MediaReceiverRegistrar"-service. The effect is currently that the serviio media server does see the streaming device, the streaming device itself does not recognize the serviio media server. IS there a way that I can modify the settings of the serviio media server that it also publishes (maybe also as a dummy) the requested service?

This service is provided by Serviio. You can check it via DeviceSpy (Intel tools)

Mmh, thanks for your reply. I have a synology device with the latest firmware version. Synology told me that they use the serviio media server. If I check the upnp service profile (I have a upnp-inspector tool installed on my PC) of my synology (serviio) media server, it does not display the MS service part (but for an old other NAS device that I installed now for test purposes). The synology support was not able to answer my questions on this in the last week. Therefore I try to find a solution directly with the serviio community. Could it be that synology is distributing the serviio installation in a different way than I would directly install it manually?

AFAIK Synology distribute other DLNA server. You would have to get Serviio for Synology on the Serviio download page

I installed the serviio media server directly on to the synology machine and now the streaming works fine. Thanks for your help.
