Hi all!

I can't make Serviio server works with the "old" high definition Kiss DP-600 player. Obviously the "new" formats as H264 and AAC can't be decoded but it plays many others, as HD Divx and WMV.
I can communicate with the Serviio server and display folders and files, but answer is always "Failed to playback, file format unsupported". I make the test with standart MPEG2 and XVid files... Network wired environement.
My goal is streaming the "new" contents via the transcode feature. Any chances to achieve this by an edited profile? Any Kiss user can help me?
Thanks in advance.

try the directTV DVR profile it transcodes almost everything automatically. Do you have the information on your device. We might be able to make a custom profile for it.

Hi!
Thanks for your quick answer, but with this and many other profiles I can't see nothing at all...

These days I have been trying and testing some other DLNA programs (on device through "Windows Media Connect" link) and I noticed different behavior than did the old programs that successfully serve video, audio and images like the PC-Link application and an UPaP called Twsomething. I thought it was something cosmetic for the user comfort.

On screen all files are always listed as titles WITHOUT EXTENSION. I realized this when I must change the .avi extension to .mp4 for a HD video trying to be reproduced on a WesternDigital TV HD device (without network). If not, the file is "unsupported", that is, can't be played.

When I play a file with "old" programs I can see the filename+extension on display.
Perhaps the Kiss DP-600 don't reveice this information and can't handle the stream.

In this case, there is a solution?

Thanks again and again.
