I'm sorry if I'm the 10,000th person to ask this question, but my head is starting to hurt trying to find the answer. Can Serviio stream 96khz / 24-bit audio files without downsampling them to a lesser quality? Depending on the answer I'll have many follow-up questions. ;)

Depends on what file type they are and what is your device.

Actually, I don't mind the transcoding to LPCM 1.4.... but I just want to play FLAC 24/96. What should I do to make serviio play 24/96 FLAC albeit with appropriate transcoding for my device profile. I use a Sony Blu Ray player 490. So, I guess that best I can have it LPCM 1.4 Mhz.

There is already tranbscoding of Flac in the Sony profiles, does that not work? If not, post the error message you get from FFmpeg (if any)
