Help with Xbox 360 Transcoding

Hi guys,
I recently purchased an Xbox 360, and I'm trying to get streaming working the same way my samsung blue ray player works. I'm able to connect, and to play most videos, however I'm still having some issues.

System Info:
OS: OS X 10.8.2
8 GB Ram, 4 core i7 2.2 Ghz

Java Info:
java version "1.6.0_37"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_37-b06-434-11M3909)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.12-b01-434, mixed mode)

Serviio Info:
version: 1.0.1

I have 2 issues.

First, I can't fast forward or skip chapters. The header while playing a video shows the total video length as 0:00 in duration, so it appears the total time isn't sent to the Xbox.

Second, some videos won't transcode. As a test I used the PS3 Media Server, and it was able to transcode the video. Since they both apps use the same library for transcoding (though I'm not sure of the version), I'm sure it's just an option I need to tweak for transcoding to the Xbox 360. Any suggestions?

I'm a software engineer, and I contribute to open source projects regularly. I'd be happy to help out with testing/fixing in any way I can.

Thanks,
Todd

Xbox doesn't support seeking on files that are being transcoded (eg mkv). It'll work on most files (eg avi, mp4).

What is the transcoding error (log, ffmpeg-i)
