Hello!

I am running Serviio on my Homeserver and I think its really great! :)

Now I am going to run it on my internet server to offer some weekend and fun videos and pictures to friends.

I want to protect that data from public, so my question is how can I disable the DLNA/UPnP feature and just give access through the MediaExplorer (with password).

If this is not possible by design, there should be a solution by using my server firewall, shouldnt?

greetings

EDIT:

Of course i could use a vpn and bind the serviio to the vpn ip, but thats not practical because no one of my friends would be able to easly access this files by setting up a vpn connection.

DLNA/UPnP does not work over the internet (it uses multicast for discovery, and even then uses different ports to MediaBrowser), hense the need for the seperate MediaBrowser, so simply open port 23424 on your router and you are good to go.
