Cannot play vids on Andriod (Galaxy S3)

I have Serviio working brilliantly on Ubuntu server; I'm able to connect to it using multiple devices without a problem, even my Galaxy S3 using Serviidroid and ServiiGo, even through the phone network over the Internet. But every time I try to play a video file, it won't play. The app suggests using several video apps which I have now, but each freezes around 43% on a blank screen. I know these apps can play the vids natively so why won't they play through the network??? One of the apps can connect via DLNA and plays them fine too.. I thought I'd throw this problem on here too as we'll as the ServiioGo app forum...

Also, the log files aren't logging anything either

Any suggestions

Ive go an S3 too, i was having issues at the start playing files.
My problem was i didnt forward the ports on my router, forwarded ports 23423 to 23424

23423 for ServiiDroid
23424 for ServiiGo

As mentioned, I already have the apps working over the phone network, so my Port forwarding is in place and working fine. But as I mentioned, I'm having freezes on my native (home) WiFi network as well as 3G. The vid file just won't play using ServiiGo, which tries to use local media players on the phone. I have six media players on the Galaxy S3 and all do the same thing, freeze or throw out an error that it can't play it. But put the vid file on the phone and it will play it, or use the DLNA capabilities of one and it too will play it (but this capability doesn't stretch to 3G hence wanting it to work with ServiiGo). It's rather frustrating...
