Windows8 Microsoft apps
Posted: Sun Nov 18, 2012 5:27 pmI have used Serviio for a while now and am very pleased. However, I recently installed Windows 8 and have been having minor problems ever since. Then on Friday I found I could not access any of Microsoft apps online (e.g. store, mahjong etc.). Also the Sony TV and Media Player would not access Serviio, even though the console showed both the TV and media player as on!
After searching the web I could find nothing similar and so yesterday I contacted Microsoft online help. After remotely controlling the computer the engineer decided that Serviio was somehow interfering with the apps. When we started up without Serviio I was able to access all apps etc. And then when I restarted with Serviio on I could still sign in to Microsoft!! On top of that the TV and Media player now work fine again. The computer was restarted several times with differing configurations but it was only the Serviio that was blocking the apps.
I would appreciate any help on this subject. Do you think a reinstall of Serviio would help? Have other people experienced a similar problem?
