Ripped DVDs not supported?

I am running serviio on a Windows XP64 PC. This PC has many ripped DVDs on the hard drive. They are in .vob format which uses a VIDEO_TS diriectory under a directory containg the name of the movie.
I have several media players (Patriot PBO, Diamond MP100, Argosy, etc) that stream this format flawlwessly off the network. They also allow the user to browse the directory structure and they recognize that a directorty that contains a VIDEO_TS folder is a movie. When you select a directory containg a VIDEO_TS directory, they ask you if you want to play the movie. Then they play the movie flawlessly just as if it were a DVD.
All of these media players also recognize UPNP. They see the Servio server. They allow me to se Servio's menus, but I can never play them as a DVD. I can only play them as individual .vob files.
I also just bought a Sony Blu-ray player. It also can see the movies through Servio, but it cannot play them as DVDs either. It looks to me like it is just string together .vob files without paying any attention to the DVD logic. For example, there are no highlights fot menu options, and the option you choose is ignored anyways.
So does Serviio not support ripped DVDs?
