Creating a profile, how to see what to match against?

Hi All,

I'm working on creating a profile for Skifta on iOS, to use with Serviio on my Windows 7 PC. I'd really like to get transcoding working.

When using the 'cling workbench' on Mac OSX, I can see all the Upnp devices on my network. I can query them and find out various parameters.

Even so, I cannot get a profile to be recognised. I'm up to speed on regular expressions, I know how to turn on 'DEBUG' logging for Serviio, but I'm not having any luck there.

FWIW, the profile I added at the bottom (super simple) is accepted, and Serviio's server is alive and well...but in the console almost all devices are 'Unrecognized device', using a 'Generic DLNA Profile'.

Any advice on where to look to resolve this?

Thanks,

-Ken

You should see entries in the log when a new renderer is found. It'd either list a set of UPnp fields or user agent, both of which you could match on.
