Plugins... Do they work with the free version?

I have a Sony SMP-N100 Media Player and I am running Serviio 1.1 FREE VERSION on my Win7 Dual Core laptop.

I downloaded a couple plugins, saved them to the plugin folder of Serviio, but my media player states there is no playable files.

I have tried RSS FEED and WEB RESOURCE but neither shows up.

Anyone have any idea where I went wrong?

USA :?:

Yes plugins are supported by FREE version.
- Download plugins.
- Add link on serviio console.
- Restart serviio service
- You can try to enable detailed loggin (see signature link), and check if online streams are detected and loaded.

In fact, after a plugin download, you have to restart serviio service or reboot for plugin to be compiled and added to serviio service. Is topic solved ?

No need to restart, the plugin should be found and compiled on the fly

on the fly ?? just to understand, is it on every save event, refresh event, a time delay or a plugin folder update ?

It checks for new files and the update date every minute or so.

Thanks guys! Yes the issue has been resolved.

I did not have to reboot, I just STOPPED and STARTED the Serviio service.

Not certain if the time limit as Zip referred to took affect or if it was as Stop/Start of the service that made it work, but its up and online.
