Online streaming problem

I have tried to check if there are any posts answering my problem but have not been successful. I am new to Serviio so apologies if I have done something stupid.

I installed Serviio yesterday and it immediately solved previous problems streaming media from my Win7 PC to my Panasonic Viera ST50 TV (which had not ever worked reliably with WMP). Thank you. Very impressed. :D

I then attempted to follow the instructions to stream Channel 4OD or ITV Player online media. I downloaded and unzipped the "combined" plugins file (from the forum) and put these files in the Serviio Plugin folder. I then added 3 URLs to the Library under the "Online RSS/Atom feed" heading and "video" options and saved them.

Examples of URLs tried were:
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the- ... od#2921825
https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/cornwall- ... /episode-1

I found the "online" folder on my TV under "Videos" but it did not contain anything.

I then looked at the log which contains messages like:

2013-01-09 16:20:11,169 DEBUG [FeedParser] Parsing feed 'http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the-it-crowd/4od#2921825'
2013-01-09 16:20:11,462 DEBUG [FeedParser] Feed failed parsing (Invalid XML: Error on line 37: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.), trying BOM detection
2013-01-09 16:20:11,472 DEBUG [FeedParser] BOM Feed failed parsing (Invalid XML: Error on line 37: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.), trying unzipping it
2013-01-09 16:20:11,472 WARN [FeedUpdaterThread] An error occured while scanning for online item information, will continue
java.io.IOException: Cannot parse resource from http://www.channel4.com/programmes/the- ... od#2921825. Message: Error during feed parsing, provided URL probably doesn't point to a valid RSS/Atom feed. Message: Invalid XML: Error on line 37: The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference.

A full copy of the debug file is attached.

I would welcome advice on what I am doing wrong. Thanks

it looks like you need to add the URL's as a "web resource" not an rss feed.

Thanks. I changed the setting and now the online material appears on my TV.

The ITV Player worked perfectly but none of the Channel 4OD episodes would play. The TV said "Please Wait" then returned the message "Cannot play media". I saw another post which suggested there might be a problem with the 4OD plugin due to a recent change at the 4OD end. Can anyone confirm whether I should be able to play online TV from this website? If there is something wrong at my end I will post the log file and request further advice.

Thanks again for the quick response.
