Missing JVM

I wonder if any one can help?

I installed Serviio 1.1 on one of my computers that uses Windows 8 Pro O.S. When I installed Serviio Java 6.0 was installed with it. I then test Serviio and it worked fine. However, later Java automatically updated itself to Java 7. Since that update I can no longer operate Serviio. Serviio Console keeps telling me Java JVM is missing and then shuts down.

I should mention I had similar problems on two other computers that used Windows 8. Both of those computers self righted themselves on restart and I was then able to use Serviio.

If anybody has any ideas how to resolve the issue, I would welcome their help? I am not technical by the way, so the answer will have to very basic, so that i can understand it.

Thanks
