Playlist question

Maybe it's just that I'm old or something, but here's the only problem I have with Serviio (an awesome app and thanks):

I've been ripping my music down to mp3/ogg/flac for years and here's how my collection looks:
(Folder name='Artist-Album Title')
Inside the folder are the tracks like so:
'01-Track 1 Title'.ext
'02-Track 2 Title'.ext
... etc

and at the top of the list is always '00-Playlist.m3u'

Why won't Serviio show my m3u files in the folders? I appreciate that you can go to 'Playlists' and access them all, but really how useful is a several-screens-long list of '00-Playlist.m3u'? Ideally the only Audio category I'd prefer to use in "Presentation" is Folders, and it'd be nice if it worked like it did locally of if I'm browsing that folder over the network with another PC.

I've scanned the forums and it seems that what I want is not possible with Serviio, but most of the playlist-related topics I've seen are related to people who 'grew up' using mp3 players and such and just want to do everything by metadata (select by artist/album/etc). That's not what I'm after, I just want to hit the .m3u in the album folder and have it play the files. If I'm wrong about this, please let me know how to get this working.

And thanks again for the app, it sets up and works pretty logically aside from this one thing.

I think you can do pretty close to (if not exactly) what you want to do.

In the Serviio console:
* Go to the Presentation Tab
* Under the "Audio" group, disable the unwanted categories by clicking on "Display Category" and changing it to "Disabled". In your case, I think you want to disable every category other than Folders.
* You may want to play with this, but if you're like me and have all your music in one folder, you can change the Folders category to "Display Content Only".

I'm not sure if your playlists will display in the folders, but if your tracks are named in play-order (and it sounds like they are) this shouldn't be a problem for you.

Good luck!

Hi!
I would like to add to this question.

It seams to me that now Artist, and Album artist categoryes are the same, they display:
Artist -> Album -> Title

Would it be possible in Atrist category to display:
Artist -> Title
And in Album Artist category to display:
Artist -> Album -> Title?

Thanx!
