Serviio

i have servio running sucessfully om a windows server 2008 r2. it works perfectly well with the films and music stored on drives within the server itself. i have more films and music stored on other servers and have mapped drives to these servers. i have checked the permissions and they are fine . in the servio console i have specified them as local path, but they do not show up. i have also tried using unc paths with no joy. please could you offer any advice

is the serviio service user the same as the user you are mapping the drives with?

Yes , I have setup a special service account which has domain admin permissions and full control permissions on all of the files to be indexed

That's all that needs to be done. Your setup is not correct somehow. You must use UNC path and make sure the service user has read rights on the remote drive. You could also try to run the service under your logged in user account to see if it goes through.
