Can't change transcode temp location or number of CPUs

Hi there,

I'm running Serviio v1.2 on a headless CentOS 6.3 build with a Sony Bravia 2010 TV. Since upgrading to this version from 0.6.2 I don't seem to be able to change the /tmp transcode location or the number of CPUs from the default of 'optimal'. I've symbolic linked /tmp to where I actually want it to be and 'optimal' seems to perform just fine, however, I'd like to have the option of changing this correctly.

I'm using the Windows version of Serviio Console to connect to my Linux server. Configuration of everything else is fine, it's just these two options that don't work. Whenever I change them and click Save, all looks well until I restart the console and see that my changes haven't stuck. I believe my permissions are set correctly and the logs show no errors whatsoever.

Is this something you can investigate and is there any way of setting these options in serviio.sh?

Many thanks,

Gilbo.

There is a bug in 1.2 that affects transcoding settings not being saved. I'll release 1.2.1 very soon that will fix that.

In the meantime, a workaround (haven't tested it myself) should be to disable transcoding, save, then enable + change your setting and save again.

Thanks, Petr. I'll give that a try.

Hello,
firs of all, this DLNA system is absolutely amazing, and now that the subtitles can be transcoded into the movie...

But I also have a problem with the settings on the Web UI by Mark Pemberton. I had the transcoding turned off, and now I can't turn it on again.. not even with this workaround..
I was just wondering when will you release the next serviio, because I am eager to test the subtitles :)

Tnx, and keep up the good work! You are awesome!

WebUI doesn't support 1.2 at all yet AFAIK
