Hi all again,
I have two pc's in my home and the one is running the 1.2 Version of Serviio while the other the 1.0.1. The same Avi file that plays in 1.0.1 version does not play in 1.2. Is there something I can do to fix that???

Thanks again,

Andreas.

What is your device renderer model (TV, Blurayplayer, etc) and profile selected on serviio console ?
In 1.0.1 your avi probably been transcoded, with 1.2 it should be delivered in natice format.

Could you post information about your AVI file see my signature links) ?

I suspect your file is an AVI/MJPEG video format. I saw that the latest ffmpeg version had problems with some MJPEG, It's a regression...

Bingo!

@andreas, if you are on windows system, could you try with latest ffmpeg version (make a backup of official ./serviio/lib/ffmpeg.exe) ?
Download latest ffmpeg.exe here: http://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/

Illico,
I downloaded the file, extract from the zip the ffmpeg.exe to "/serviio/lib/ffmpeg.exe" and replaced the old file. Now when I try to play the avi file it does not play it at all(in the previous situation you could hear the file but you could not see it). Waiting for new instructions.

Looks like something has been fixed related to mjpeg. Not sure when it'll be available in the Zeranoe build, but if it works I'll wait a few days to get it to 1.2.1
