How can I change the font/size/color/etc of the burned-in subtitles?

You can only do that for ass/ssa subtitles (by editing the subtitle files themselves).

That's too bad.
So this means that I have to change all my movies and tv series (700+) srt subtitles to .ass??
On the other hand, how does serviio/ffmpeg choose the font settings to display the subtitles?

I guess FFmpeg converts srt to ass (using some default settings) and renders them accordingly. There are no settings on how to perform this conversion, currently.

Well, until they provide a way to customize the appearance of srt subtitles, I guess I'll convert the one of the movie I'm about to watch.
