Big Thanks and a question about cores

So far 7 movies run seamlessly while one has audio slightly out of sync. Perhaps a bad rip? All are XVID avi's. One question i have about # of cores. I currently have one selected. Should I select 2? My processor is a dual-core celeron @ 2.8 ghz (based on the Wolfdale architecture). Any help would be appreciated. Again thanks for a nice DLNA server.
