ServiioGo not playing files on HTC EVO 3D over 3G

Serviio Gods... I have a very interesting and confusing problem that I hope you can help me with. I currently have Serviio 1.3.1 running under Windows 7 (with all the latest updates) on an Intel Quad Core machine with 6GB RAM and a 3 TB Hard Drive. I have never had any issues accessing any of the many movies or TV shows that I have with any device located on my internal network (including my HTC EVO 3D when its on WiFi). I was hoping to watch them on the road... so... I recently purchased the Pro license, installed ServiioGo on my HTC 3D phone and manually setup my router to forward port 23424 to my Serviio server. I first tested the connection using the test button on the Serviio console remote tab window and it gave me a big red X... Hmm... I went and rechecked the setup in my router and all looked good... so i thought I would try it anyhow. So... On my HTC 3D running only on 3G and with a good signal to the tower I can get as far as the list of movies (with the correct thumbnails being shown properly ). Once I try and play a movie or TV show - at any of the many resolutions and setting combinations permitted via ServiioGO - the spinner spins like its trying to load the movie... but after a few seconds ServiioGo comes back with "connection the server was lost" "Cancel/Retry". Its odd that it gets that far - allowing me to login and to see what I have in my library , but cannot play the movie??? This does not happen when I am on WiFi - the 3D plays the movie perfectly. BTW, I can also access the MediaBrowser app from my 3D over 3G ... same thing happens though. I will try to attach the end of my log file (after the library loads)... perhaps that may help...

BTW... did I mention that this is one AWESOME app!!!!! Kudos to all the developers and maintainers!!!

We will need to see some more of the log, specifically of you connecting to the server, and starting playback. Can you also change org.restlet to DEBUG (in the same place that you turned on normal debug logging).

What sort of internet connection do you have at home, and wat mobile internet plan do you have/with who? To start with, use the Low quality option, or pick a non-HD file and use Original.

BTW, I can also access the MediaBrowser app from my 3D over 3G ... same thing happens though.

For the internet connection at home I have Verizon FIOS Quantum (50 Mbps)
For the Mobile Plan, my provider is Sprint with Unlimited Data....unfortunately I only have 3G in my area.

I did try low quality files on the low setting... same results...

I don't know if MediaBrowser inside a browser app works over WiFi as that I have not tried. It just didn't work over 3G...
However... ServiiioGo worked over WiFi without issues (high quality)

That is correct. I tried this last night over WiFi and it worked perfectly

As for the log when i connect, I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for in my log file, but here is a snippet from the file. If you need the whole file I can E-Mail it to you. Note that I "AA.BB.CC.DD" my external IP address. Also note that 192.168.10.2 is my internal Serviio server address. I do not know who owns 192.168.10.19?

That is really odd! I guess it's helpful/consistent that it affects MediaBrowser as well as ServiiGo.

I was hoping to see ServiiGo trying to download the video, did you actually play anything as the log only shows you browsing your movies.

I don't suppose you can try it at work/friends wifi? To rule out carrier blocking (very unlikely).

Can you also try with an audio file?

Yes... very odd.. exactly what I thought. Although I did try and play the movie, all it ever gave me was "connection the server was lost" "Cancel/Retry"..

I will try a friends WiFi and Music tomorrow and post results here

Ok so I tried music over 3G and that works perfectly. Then went to McDonald's and tried the.movies over 3G and that didn't work. Connected myself to McDs WiFi and low and behold the movies worked flawlessly,

Could you maybe ask on the forums for your mobile contract provider?

Ok so its my phone but I'm not sure why. I tried my sons iPhone4 which is on our plan and carrier and both the music and video worked flawlessly. And yes I turned his WiFi off before I tried it. I then tried with my phone and again and it didn't work. Any clues? I was going to try to root my phone and get rid of all of the extra running processees and try again
