Windows 8 issues

Anyone else out there having issues with Windows 8 streaming? I have a series 6 Samsung LCD TV and streaming from a Vaio laptop. I recently upgraded to Windows 8 and have had nothing but issues. I never had any problems when I was running off Windows 7. I have tried versions 1.3 and 1.4 and both seem to drop out randomly, and a lot of the time the TV and tablet I use cant even see Serviio. Even when I open up Serviio console it can see both of those devices but there is a red dot next to them.
Any help would be appreciated.
