Folder Structure needed to view properly?

Hi Guys,

Noob here,

Finally got Serviio up and running with my Panasonic ET5 my oh my how good it is!!!

I've got an external HD connected to a Samsung WIN7 PC and am sharing it out .

only issue I have is that with the folder structure I have some videos are being named as Movies (the name of the folder they are in) however others that are in a separate folder (IE movies that have 2 discs) are organinzed correctly

EG

Media
Movies
2 Disc folders
All Files Named Movies
Kids Movies
All files named kids movies
TV shows
Subfolders are Fine.

Any ideas on how I need to set this up would help!!! Thanks in advance!

Re: Folder Structure needed to view properly?

Hi,

I had to register to reply to this post :P I had the same problem, so try this and tell me if that worked for you. In the serviio console go to "presentation" tab and for every "category name" i.e.
Audio/Image/Video
choose "display content only", the same for the "folders" and disable all others. I have sorted my problem that way. But it might depend on tv you have. I have samsung one and in "status" tab there profiles for samsung tv's, so not sure if that got something to do with folder structure.
