4 GB file limit?
I have a regular problem. Many of the videos I'd like to stream are TV shows I recorded via my Silicon Dust Homerun from my roof antenna.
I have Serviio running on a 64-bit Fedora 20 system.
Hour long (or more) HDTV shows often exceed 4 GBytes in size. Serviio sees these files as what seems to be "modulo 4GB". Files that are barely over 4 GB display as a tiny size and will play from the beginning for a correspondingly small fraction of a few seconds. A 6 GB Hour program displayed as 2 GB and played for 20 minutes.
Initially I blamed my "smart" TV. However I get the same result with a high end new Bluray player. I connected my new KDlinks HD700 and got the same result with Serviio, but it plays correctly via the Samba share.
All indications seem to imply a 4 GB rollover problem. Files less than 4 GB play just fine.
