Amazon Fire TV with ViMu Player

All files tested just fine except MKVs, all of which seemed to have no audio.

Lots of administrative headache initially due to my outdated FFmpeg. Updated it and created/selected the following profile:

  Code:
<Profile id="23" name="test" extendsProfileId="1">
   <Transcoding>
      <Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetACodec="aac">
         <Matches container="matroska" />
      </Video>
   </Transcoding>
</Profile>

In the ViMu Advanced Preferences, "Disable stream caching" needs to be checked.

Audio now seems to work just fine, though I haven't tested many filetypes. Seeking is still an issue. :|

I am trying to get this to work using Vimu on my FireTv Stick server up from my Synology, Serviio V1.4.1.2. When using this, Vimu will not play back the mkv. Is this profile only for the newer 1.5 release?

Thanks

Very few players will allow seeking (FF/rewind) with transcoded files. So if a file can't be played without transcoding, it's likely you will never be able to seek. That's not a Serviio limitation.
