Is it necessary to update the library?
I just want to use to walk through the folder structure and start a movie by opening the file.

not sure what you mean... Serviio needs to catalogue your files into its library (DB).

I thought I was walking through the folder structure on the harddisk when I choose the folder option inside the video entrypoint

But I am not really walking over the disk I understood but walk through the folder structure which is copied in the database.

So if I add a new movie on he disk and choose not to update the libray I can not go the movie insite serviio, right? I need to update the library first.
