Hello.

First of all i LOVE serviio!

though im missing some way to correct wrong ID's of tv series. i have even tried to see "V 2009" to be identified as 20 times the movie "The Hangover" ?!

Anyone else have these problems? if so how do i fix this ? :-/

that would be a problem with the online metadata source rather than serviio.

I do agree. Serviio does its part. But im missing a way to correct the wrong results.

A good example is Plex for the mac. It has a great interface to correct match errors. Let me search for other matches and so on.

Is there no interface or way to do this in serviio ? in some config files maybe?

How does serviio match the names of the series ? on folder names, file names, a combo?

Im not after serviio - in fact its a f****** GREAT program! the best i've seen! - Just need to learn how to correct the errors.

Thanks! :)

i deleted the V 2009 series as it annoyed me. still have these though:

Filename: spongebob.squarepants.s01.pizza.delivery.xvid-lol.avi
location: X:\TV\Spongebob\Season 1\

i can find more examples later if you need them?

One thing that I have started doing, it before I load in a series to serviio. I go to http://www.thetvdb.com and verify how series name is formatted there. That way I can ensure that the file name has this information correct. This ensures that the file gets the correct metadata.

Where do you find the filename layout on that site? For example I have "Sanctuary.US.s03e12.avi". It does not appear under the "Series" tab, yet Sanctuary is on that website!

Note to OP: V.2009.s02e01.avi adds to the "Series" tab correctly...

You can turn on detailed logging and you'll see what search term it's actually using when talking to the online site. Serviio does parse the filename, removes bits and pieces from it to try to guess the most appropriate name, but ion some case that might not work as expected.

It didn't like the US bit. Once removed it added them to the series tab with the episode name.

I'm having some problems with names too.
Here are 2 movies that don't show up in "Movies" listing and they don't have the movie cover either.

Iron Man (2008)
Iron Man 2 (2010)

Edit: There are quite a few that Im having a problem with, here are some more:
Gone Baby Gone (2007)
127 Hours (2010)
44 Inch Chest (2009)
Green Hornet, The (2011)
Knight and Day (2010)
Robin Hood (2010)
Skyline (2010)

That's how they are named.. I thought it was because the year was wrong or something but if I do a search on themoviedb.org they do show up. Weird.

It's possible that themoviedb.org was down or could not be connected to while the metadata scan was running. Try to click 'Refresh video metadata' to scan for all your videos again.
