Can't Say Enough Good Things
I recently purchased a Sony BDP S570 Blu Ray player, which I am extremely happy with (got it at a very good price as well). The only issue I had with it was that it didn't play a lot of the file formats I had hoped that it would (such as AVI). Scouring the web for some sort of workaround on this, I happened upon Serviio.
I thought to myself, this can't be that easy. This past Friday evening, I sat down to install Serviio, anticipating an unpleasant evening of wrestling with installation issues and settings. Wow was I shocked. I installed it, it immediately spotted my Blu Ray player. The Blu Ray player detected the presence of Serviio, I set up appropriate shares, and next thing I knew I was streaming an AVI file to the Blu Ray and watching a file I never dreamt I would be able to watch that easily.
In a nutshell, I am impressed. Thanks, all!
