Cannot see serviio on samsung

Hello, I am a newbie to this so please accept my ignorance. I have installed serviio and see my Samsung UN55D6400 and server is running. I have shared a folder with a few JPG pictures. I have this all connected on my ethernet local network, 192.168.1.2 > 192.168.1.6 (tv). How do I see the files on the Samsung TV? I go to the SMARTHUB on the Samsung but there is nothing there to select.

Thanks!

My device doesn't see Serviio

This could be caused by you having multiple IP addresses on the machine and Serviio binding to a wrong one. Insert IP address of the machine running Serviio into 'Bound IP address' field in Network Settings section in the console.

Also make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are open in your firewall.

Hello and thanks for the help. I put the IP address of the PC which is running serviio as you suggested and also shut down my firewall. I also stopped and restarted serviio and turned tv off and back on. I'm still not seeing where I need to be looking for on the TV to access any files. Thanks!

On my Blu-ray you do not use SMarthub, there is a network area that shows all streaming sources in the main menu area.

From your manual. Keep hiting source button until serviio or allshare shows up on your screen as the source.

  Code:
Changing the Input Source
Source
Use to select TV or an external input source
such as a DVD player / Blu-ray player / cable
box / STB satellite receiver.
1. Press the SOURCE button on your
remote.
2. Select a desired external input source.
You can change the view mode among
the All and Connected by pressing the l
or r button.
■■ TV / PC / AV1 / AV2 / COMPONENT /
HDMI1/DVI / HDMI2 / HDMI3 / HDMI4 / USB /
AllShare
✎✎You can only choose external devices that are
connected to the TV. In Source, connected inputs are
highlighted.
✎✎In Source, PC always stays activated

Serviio can see your TV.

  Code:
2012-01-16 19:28:43,227 INFO  [RendererManager] Stored a new renderer: uuid='380d555c-e565-7f01-dad8-56c6e29abf92', name = 'UN55D6400', ipAddress='192.168.1.6', profile = '7'

Make sure that your ports are open.

  Code:
My device doesn't see Serviio

This could be caused by you having multiple IP addresses on the machine and Serviio binding to a wrong one. Insert IP address of the machine running Serviio into 'Bound IP address' field in Network Settings section in the console or pass system variable serviio.boundAddr including the IP address when starting the server.

Also make sure that TCP port 8895 and UDP 1900 are open in your firewall.

If you are on a Linux based OS, make sure you set up multicast routes properly.

If on Windows, you can push Serviio service down in starting order.

on your windows machine run the following command in command window.
Post the results here.
  Code:
Netstat -abn

Also you need to make sure your Anti-virus does not run a firewall itself.

Also look and see if your router has a DLNA /UPNP option and if it does change it to the opposite and see if the TV sees serviio. Each router has this option working differently.
