Re: Compatible devices list

Works well with my Sony BDV-E2100 home theater system. Its also compatible with the new "Sony BDP-Sx100 (2013)" profile that came with the new Serviio console 1.4.1 update! I've noticed the ffmpeg.exe process is no longer running on my PC when playing an MKV file format. This is normal, right? It no longer needs to transcode? If so, then nice!

Re: Compatible devices list

With Serviio version 1.4 it works fine with my Popcornhour A-400. With the new release it won't work.

Re: Compatible devices list

LG BP530 blu-ray player works with Serviio, but it (the LG) is pretty funky: No thumbnails on vids; no subs with mkv; no ff/rw with mkv; no thumbnails or even artist/album name when playing mp3s; no memory of where you left off in a vid, even when playing from a DVD. (I thought every player in the universe had that.) I'll be returning the LG.

Re: Compatible devices list

Samsung TV 2014 H-models.

Using UE40H6200, UE55HU7500.

MKV RW/FF works fine.
Movies start incredibly fast (1..2 seconds) compared to previous years Samsung TV models, using Synology NAS, Serviio v.1.4.1.2.
Also h264 Hi10 and h264 HP up to L 5.1 supported, no transcoding needed.

HEVC (h265) is supported on Samsung TV 2014 H-models (MKV, MP4, TS containers) (but not by Serviio jet).

Re: Compatible devices list

Its working fine on Samsung TV UE50F6600 and F5550 BR player. Plays all formats I need and has the folder structure the way I like.
Some movies loading few seconds more than the others but that is not a problem for me.

LG TV, WD TVLive, VLC, and MediaBrowser. Primary is through WD TVLive. It feeds a receiver/video switcher to the TV.

Re: Compatible devices list

I'm using it with Roku 3.
It works for some files, but not all. It's not playing audio for a .WKV file (1080p) with 5.1 DTS audio. But PLex can play that same file to Roku 3 fine.
I wrote a post on it in the thread here: http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=17503

Re: Compatible devices list

I use a sony kdl46HX750, it works fine, I also have videos on a EMTEC S800HD movie cube and it also works fine after some time spent:
the cube has to be described as \\server\dir1\dir2 in serviio, the software of the cube has to be the last level available (from the emtec site) and the NAS option has to be turned on.

Re: Compatible devices list

I use the following, and all work great!

1 - Samsung TV (UN32F4300)
2 - VLC on iPad and iPhone 4S
3 - BubbleUpnP on my galaxy Tab 8.9, Nexus 4 and on the Galaxy Tab S
4 - Raspberry Pi running OpenElec (XBMC), connected to my LG TV that is not a smart TV

The Raspberry Pi with OpenElec setup is amazing for the value. You can find on eBay systems already configured so you don't have the hassle of installing Linux on the Pi or the OpenElec distribution. Example below:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R4 ... c&_sacat=0

I highly recommend the Pi.

Re: Compatible devices list

Sharp TV lc-50le759en
Serviio is running on Windows XP, quite old machine (Intel Core 2).

So far so good. This Sharp TV even supports subtitles (after reading that people experience problems over DLNA). The only problem is transcoding, can get choppy sometimes with HD x264 but pc is old and it is understandable - TV is playing most movies without transcoding anyway. I have found one MKV that TV is not playing sound (DTS) without transcoding - I will have to check new firmware update for TV.

I recommend both, this Sharp TV and Serviio (I also checked Universal Media Server and Kodi/XBMC but Serviio is better and simpler).

Samsung ue40 (I think) - 2 year old Smart TV.

HTC One M7 using BubbleUPnP (on device or stream to DLNA-compatible/Chromecast) or ServiiGo
Sony Xperia somethingorother (work phone) using BubbleUPnP, can play on device or stream to DLNA-compatible, or Chromecast.

Laptop on network via Mediabrowser.

Re: Compatible devices list

Maybe this has been mentioned already but....

Purchased a SiliconDust HDTC‑2US HD Homerun Plus that does transcoding from the OTA/QAM tuner. I was able to setup the channels from the tuner inside the online sources tab. I then use ROKU 2XS or the ROKU Streaming stick to connect to serviio via the Roku Media Player app (Chanaru as the profile on Serviio) and watch live TV. Video and Audio both work. There is an occasional disconnect, but that might be a weak signal from my OTA Antenna.

There's a native Roku Media Player profile. It has some minor differences from the Chaneru profile, and works quite well.

When I used the native RMP profile, Video displayed but I was unable to hear any audio. I might have to compare the two profiles to see what is allowing audio on the chaneru profile for me but not the RMP profile.
