Re: Compatible devices list

Using Serviio with Sony BDP-S370. The 0.5.1 update made playback much better (Sony doesn't deal with MKV files well and that is what I've transcoded my library to) and am hoping that the 0.5.2 will remove my last obstacle (AAC audio). Wish Wii and WMP12 were DLNA compliant too.

Re: Compatible devices list

Just confirmed, works flawlessly with Smasung galaxy S

Interesting, it supports playlists (movies) but wont FF or RW :(

Ironically you use Samsungs allshare app, but it sees the serviio server, and not the allshare server ??

Re: Compatible devices list

Works fine with my Samsung LN46C550 --- connected to Belkin G router from Walmart and cheapo Rosewill RNX-N1 from NewEgg (costs less than half of the Samsung proprietary wireless adapter).
Having been told by a ghetto moron (smugly) at the Samsung 800 # that this model of TV couldn't get internet connections, I am thrilled to prove him wrong.
Nor could get I get the Samsung PC Share Manager (which Samsung moron said did not exist) to accept my files. It found the TV, but the software wouldn't take the files.

After just 10 mins with Servio I'm up and running! Thank you so much for all of your hard work and your generosity in sharing it with us!!

Re: Compatible devices list

a wd tv live hd works ok, with the original fw.

i need a new profile to avoid transcoding flac files, since the device handles them quite well on its own.

has anyone tried to write up a wd tv live hd profile?

I want the setup to be serviio and not network shares, since then I can use the iPod Touch remote app and not have to start the TV to play music.

And a terabyte of disk stores like > 2000 CDs lossless, which is just about right for me. Then the other terabyte can store like 5-600 one hour TV shows in 720p.

There will be one in 0.6, but it's basically just very slightly edited Generic DLNA profile (which doesn't transcode anything), so you can use that.

The generic 0.5.2 one transcodes flac into lpcm, doesn't it? So I guess the 0.6 WD TV Live HD one is just a generic profile with all transcodings removed?

The generic one has not transcoding configured - does not transcode anything

You are of course right.

So, a flac file will be sent to my WD TV Live HD as a flac stream.
Good!
