MKV Movie Restart

Have had a recurring problem with MKV movies restarting. Usually with 2-3 minutes of a movie play in the Media Browser, the movie will hang, then restart. Sometimes two or three times, each time getting further and further into the movie before the restart occurs and with a 4-block throbber spinning in the middle of the screen. Issue is related only to the Media Browser. Movies of all types (.TS, .AVI, .MP4, .MKV, .M2TS, etc.) all execute perfectly in ServiiGo on my Android instrument.

Have been trying to troubleshoot from both the server and media browser side with nothing I do making any difference to execution.

Re: MKV Movie Restart

If you are transcoding, make sure that you have enough https://scrabblewordfinder.vip/ space on whatever partition the Transcoder Temporary Directory is on. If Plex Media Server isn't able to write the contents of the stream in its entirety, the stream will be aborted and you will have to restart the stream from where you left off.

This isn't a Plex forum, so that is immaterial.

MediaBrowser virtually always transcodes, so having space in the temp directory is a valid comment. If you have multiple drives and one has more space, you can change the temp folder location in the Serviio console on the Transcoding tab.
