mp4 files

Hello,
when I want to watch a MP4 video file on my Samsung TV, after about 10 seconds it says "File format is not supported". Which settings do I have to make so that the files are translated into an appropriate format?

Re: mp4 files

Samsung supports MP4 videos, so there's likely something within the MP4 file that is not quite "right". Some player devices are more sensitive to things like this. You could try using something like Handbrake to re-encode the video, but that might be a lengthy process if you have a lot of them. You could also create a personal user profile that could transcode MP4 files into something else, but it really shouldn't be necessary.
