Bravia audio out of sync

Hi,
Without the need to provide all the appropriate file specific/ debugging details, I wonder if someone might be able to shed some light on the following.
I am currently using the standard Bravia 2010 profile.
For MP4/ AVC/ AAC files, it seems that they are being remuxed only. This results in audio sync issues. Once the file is stopped and restarted, audio is back in sync but becomes out of sync again within 5-10 mins.
I changed the profile so that these files would be transcoded and the audio sync issues were solved.
Any advice what caused the issue and why transcoding worked? Could I have tried anything else?
Thanks.

I have a Bravia 2010 too. If i notice any sync issues, just pause the video and then press play.
On your remote, just press the middle enter button and press it again to play

Thanks for your reply.
Strangely, pause doesn't do it only stop and start.
I was really curious about what technical aspect was causing this audio to get out of synch.

Sometimes it can be network latency, sometimes processing power of the TV, sometimes incorrectly encoded files. If it's a transcoded file, it might be a problem with Serviio.

Are you sure? This always works for me. It's the centre circle button, middle of the navigation buttons. Pause, wait a few seconds, press the middle button again. Pesto!
This TV is showing is age, Sony have much better renderer chips on the new TV.

I have just joined the forum soley to ask how exactly you changed the profile to fix the sync. I too have to stop the movie and restart to get the audio back in sync on my bravia 40ex503.
When it comes to serviio profiles I am an absolute noob so any guidance would be greatly appreciated

I used to find the 503 would get overrun and couldn't cope, then sync issues when it was natively playing some files. I've posted before about it.... Serviio used to transcode a lot of files to mpeg2 to solve the problem, since around version 0.6 it plays mostly native on the 503 but that can cause audio sync issues.
Select the Sony 2009 profile to see if the problem resolves itself on your problematic files.

Hi,
I have the exact same audio issue, Sony NX710 where I need to stop / start to fix sync every 15-20 mins. How did you change the profiles to always transcode ?
It works great on my HX820 TV, a year newer without any issues.

Select "Sony Bravia 2009" profile on serviio console.

Doesnt work,
Fun thing is if i use Isedora latest version, and select always transcode the audio delay does not occur.
So im pretty much using 2 DLNA servers, Isedora for my NX710 and Serviio for my HX820
