Best Profile - or how to make one to suit

Merry Christmas and a happy new year
I need help with the same thing i guess most people do, im trying to find the best fit all profile for my devices.
i have 3 things that i want to use Serviio with.
Toshiba TV 40tl848b which has built is DLNA
Philips bdp3380 Blu ray player DLNA Built in
and a PS3
Serviio is installed to a hp N54L 8gb ram not sure if anything else is relevant but pretty much out of the box with drives - seems to have issues transcoding files without stutter
i have used a variety of the built in profiles and it results in either playing some files or not playing them, and some are stuttering.
Due to these issues a little while ago i thought id go out and buy a proper media streamer Panasonic DMP-MST60EBS again i find the same problems though this seems to handle better but this maybe because of generic profile.
