Kathrein UFS 924

Hello,

i am new at this forum.
I have a request for "Kathrein UFS 924". http://www.kathrein.de/satelliten-und-t ... /20210209/
I did not find something about this.
Does anyone have a profile for this reciever?
In my ServiioConsole it is defined as "unrecognized devices". So i can see the folders an files but can`t start them.
I testet it with movies, pictures and music. I found everything but can`t play it.

Does anyone have a solution?

Look at my signature links, then could you provide format supported by your device with INTEL Upnp Tool ?

According to your private message, its strange
The field "Sink" is empty.
The field "Source" there is :
http-get:*:image/gif:*,http-get:*:image/jpeg:*,http-get:*:audio/mpeg:*,http-get:*:video/mpeg:*,http-get:*:video/x-ms-wmv:*,http-get:*:video/avi:*,http-get:*:video/wmv:*,http-get:*:audio/wma:*

In specification its seems that this device should implement Upnp-Client (media from NAS,etc)

But according to INTEL Upnp Tools, it seems that your device act as an upnp server, not an upnp player.

What is your serviio version, free, trial or pro ? Could you check with MediaBrowser that you have media in serviio library.

Hello,

thanks for you reply.

I use the free version of serviio.
The server is working fine. I have a Samsung UE40H6270 TV. He can play the files on the server witout any problems.

With the Kathrein i can see the files. But i can`t play them.

Ok,
Do you try to change profile for your device on serviio console ? Try with "DirecTV HD-DVR", "WDTV Live" ... profiles

Yes, i changed the profile but they do not work.
So i think i need a own profile for the receiver?

Do you also try with Xbox360 profile ? it's a "simple Upnp profile".

Could you enable detailed logging and restart service service (not server) and post log here ?

Hi,

thanks for your reply.
With the profile XBOX360 the problem is still alive.
I enabled the detailed logging. (in the attachment)

I can`t see any errors. But i think you will see more then i. :)

Could you edit ./Serviio/config/profiles.xml file ?
Then add the following block just before the last </Profiles> element, then save, then restart serviio services or reboot PC.
Check on serviio console that serviio automatically select the Kathrein profile for your device.

Hello,

thanks für the profile. The console does not selected the profile automatically. So i change it but it is not working.
Same problem.
I don`t know what we can do.
It is mysterious that i can see all files but can`t play them. Not even pictures or music.

Do you try with another media server like Windows Media Player ?

Yes i tested this with the media server "Plex"
There i can play the videos but they are haltingly and after a view seconds the video is closed.
So that shows me, that the receiver can play the videos.

There is not request for the files in the log. Not even the thumbnails.

You could contact the manufacturer for help and see if they test with Serviio or what server they recommend.

They wrote that the receiver is suitable for the home network but they can not recommend a server.

Vermutlich kann das Gerät UFS 924 die vorhandenen Dateien nicht erkennen bzw. öffnen.

Um dies zu prüfen, speichern Sie einzelne Dateien auf einen USB Stick und prüfen nun,
ob das Gerät diese erkennt.

Eine spezielle Geräteempfehlung können wir Ihnen nicht nennen.
