Transcoding audio only

Dolby Digital Audio Decording Format available
Dolby Digital plus Audio Decording Format available
Dolby True HD Audio Decording Format
DTS Audio Decording Format available
LPCM Audio Decording Format available
AAC available
MP3 Audio Decording Format available
WMA Audio Decording Format available
Supported video formats are:
MPEG 2/4 available
DIVX (including XVID) available
DivX HD, Video Decoding Format available
AVCHD, Video Decoding Format available
MKV, Video Decoding Format available
WMV (1 / 2 / 3 / 7 / 9) available
JPEG available
HD JPEG, Video Decoding Format available
The video file I'm trying to view is an MKV with the following formats:
Video: MPEG4 ISO advanced
Audio: A_TRUEHD
IIRC, only transcoding the audio to something the D5300 understands and I'm set? However, if I could save time and effort, only transcoding the audio of the content would probably be a better idea.

Posted: Tue Apr 26, 2011 7:45 pmI assume the file is not even added to the library? Truehd is not supported yet so I think it won't be added to the library. When it does it should play natively according to your list.
