... correctly playing from a Serviio on windows XP.
I have a Serviio (0.5.2) , one on Ubuntu 10.04 (9.10 until yesterday), another on Win XP. The same config file (using Pana Vierra Profile for my Pana VT20 renderer). The same mkv file (h264 + DTS audio) is transcoded on windows but fails from linux (renderer says 'unreadable file'). I've checked my path for ffmpeg, everything seems correct, last version installed. I've tried many different mkv files, same results.
Does anyone already had such a strange behaviour on Ubuntu ?
Thanks for your lights
Chris

check the versions of FFMPEG.

Also if you can delete your serviio logs on both computers and then enable detailed logging (see signature) and then try and play the file. Post both logs here. You might have to zip them to post them.

Hi,

FFMPEG on win is UNKNOWN version built on january 10 (ffmpeg provided in serviio 0.5.2 package)
On Ubuntu, FFmpeg version SVN-r0.5.1-4:0.5.1-1ubuntu1.1

I'll try to post the log files details from the two serviio asap
thx

Hi,

I've made a debug log while trying to read the mkv file, here it is, hope it can help understanding what happens.
thx
