Is it - somehow - possible to trick Serviio and ffmpeg into transcoding WMA audio files to MP3 audio? Or would that be a feature request?
Since Samsung TVs graciously show but actually don't do WMA it would be nice to have this feature.

Audio transcoding is not there yet, will get it in in a future release.

I installed Serviio in the hope that I could play wma files on my Samsung TV, but having struggled to do this I see that transcoding of wma to mp3 is not yet supported by Serviio, or is it? I have been using Twonky for the last year which also is unable to do this, including their latest Twonky 7 release. I just want a solution to the problem so I can play my music on the TV in the kitchen. Any suggestions/help would be much appreciated as a good deal of my audio is stored as wma and I don't want to have to re-rip or convert it all to mp3.
Many thanks, Paul.

I thought C/D samsung plays wma natively. If not, add this line to the Audio section of your C/D profile:
- Code:
<Matches container="asf" />
