Re: LG TV help needed

I only have one LG TV, which is a 2020 model. But I have no issues playing compatible media. I will say that the TV manufacturers, along with Blu Ray players, seem to be removing support for some codecs over DLNA.

But to determine what's going on, we'd need to see the media contents (what codecs are within what container) and the specific model LG you have. We can then compare the advertised media support to your media and see what the issue might be. But I can't look up what media is supported without knowing the model of the TV.

Re: LG TV help needed

OK, how about the media contents on a couple of files that won't play, especially if they played on the older TV.

Re: LG TV help needed

Click this link (http://forum.serviio.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=38) and see if you can retrieve the media contents of one or two that won't play. We're looking for three things: the container (MKV, AVI, MP4, etc), the audio codecs (there can be more than one) and video codec within the container. The codecs can be a large number of different types, which is why we need to know what's in there to figure out why the media won't play on your TV.
