Some videos can't be played (sometimes) on Samsung QE55Q80TA

Hi,

Sometimes videos can't be played on my Samsung QE55Q80TATXXH - the TV is just stuck.
I run Serviio 2.1.0-0014 on Synology DSM 6.1.7- Update 3.
This happens only to videos that were previously played but not every time (like 1 out of 3).
I've changed the logging to

  Code:
<category name="org.serviio">
    <priority value="DEBUG"/>
</category>

but all I can see in serviio.log is

2023-07-30 13:33:30,705 INFO [PlaybackEventsManager] Playback of media item 194519 (XXXXXXXXXX) has started at 0% on Identifier=192.168.0.110, Profile=Samsung TV (NU-series), Name=QE55Q80TATXXH

As you can see am I using
Samsung TV (NU-series)
profile but that is just some experimenting.

Can anyone please point me to where to look? Should I
- Do something more with the logs?
- Play with the profile I am using?
- Check if the videos has something in common (encoding, sorry an amateur here)?

Thanks a lot for any suggestions!

Re: Some videos can't be played (sometimes) on Samsung QE55Q

I wrote the NU profile several years ago, but disliked the TV so much I gave it to my daughter. In general, I don't care for any TV's DLNA playback capabilities, but Samsung in particular just seems to phone it in. By that I mean they really don't make much of an effort with it. I gave up using the TV player interfaces many years ago, instead using a Roku player (although they aren't the best for DLNA either right now due to lack of development), a Blu Ray Player (Sony used to be really good, but they too have let support go downhill).

My go-to playback device is the Nvidia Shield, which isn't inexpensive but just works so well. But there's a really inexpensive Android TV based player, and that's the Onn 4K Video Player, available at Walmart for $20. It will do everything my Shield will do, except bitstream the lossless audio codecs. Use Kodi as the player app (free) and you will never want to mess with the TV player interface again.
