Serviio

Currently using Serviio v0.6.1 with WDTV Live 2011 edition.

My problem is that my receiver doesn't support TrueHD decoding, so I'd like Serviio to transcode TrueHD to ex. Dolby Digital (AC3?).

Is it possible to manually edit the profiles to make Serviio do this? Perhaps it can be provided in the next update?

attach your profiles.xml file and will edit it for you, im at work so dotn have a copy to hand.

Sounds terrific! I have attached it.

I don't know what the best target transcoding from TrueHD is - DTS maybe? AC3? I don't know much about this stuff so I'm just happy if it can be done. Thanks!

what file is the trueHD audio in MKV, MP4 AVI?????

EDIT: never mind i see from current profiel it would only be MKv or AVI so i added both for you.

Thanks! But it doesn't work:(

When starting serviio after replacing profiles.xml it says:

Cannot connect to Serviio server, it does not seem to be running. Exiting...

I tried changing "turehd" to "truehd" in your edit (I think that was a mistake no?) and also "mkv" to "matroska" (same) but it still gives me the error.

Yes. I downloaded the profiles.xml, changed the typos, saved it, replaced the original one and restarted my computer. Error message then shows up. If I replace the new profiles.xml with the old one and restart again it works perfectly fine so it must be something with your changes - I just don't know what because it looks ok to me:S

what does the log say? there should be an error message regarding to xsd validation
