Choppy framerate and audio sync with 1080 MKV

Hello, when streaming 1080p mkv videos to my xbox 360 using the default xbox360 profile, I get choppy framerates and audio sync issues. I suspect that my hardware is not good enough to transcode such a resolution on the fly. Is it possible to transcode a 1080 video to 720 in real time for streaming ? If so how can I accomplish this?

Hardware
--------------
Processor: AMD a8-3850 (4x 2.9Ghz)
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Graphics: Radeon HD 6850
Motherboard: GA-A75M-UD2H

You can't change resolution. The WMV encoder only uses 1 core so HD movies will always be a problem I'm affraid.

I have a similar problem though I'm able to decode the videos to my laptop or surface without the choppiness or audio lag. Is there something I need to do to better support the Xbox 360? Is there a way to lower the playback resolution on the xbox 360 to improve speed?

My Serviio Server is a Core 2 Duo E6550 with 4GB ram.

You can add maxHeight and/or maxVBitrate attributes to the XBox transcoding profile.
