is that a firmware upgarde or a new model?

If its firmware id be intrested to see a sink report form the TV and to know its exactly model. http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=device_sf

if its a new model again i like same information but also when you bought the TV.

oh wow that awesome LG have really sorted themselves out for DLNA on the new models, if i build a profile specific for the new models will you be willing to do the testing for me?

Here the profile if you are willing to test for me
  Code:
<Profile id="21" name="LG Smart TV (2012)" extendsProfileId="1">
      <SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
      <Detection>
           <UPnPSearch>
              <friendlyName>60PZ575S-ZB</friendlyName>
           </UPnPSearch>
      </Detection>
      <Transcoding>
           <!-- Transcode h264 videos with profile level > 4.1 to mpegts with ac3 audio -->
           <Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3" >
              <Matches container="avi" vCodec="h264" profile="high" levelGreaterThan="4.2" />
              <Matches container="avi" vCodec="h264" profile="main" levelGreaterThan="4.2" />
              <Matches container="mp4" vCodec="h264" profile="high" levelGreaterThan="4.2" />

           </Video>
            <!-- remux unsupported audio codecs in MKV into AC3 -->

           </Video>
           <!-- Remux WTV files to MPEG-PS with no transcoding-->
           <Video targetContainer="mpeg">
              <Matches container="wtv" />

           </Audio>
        </Transcoding>
    </Profile>

can you also do me a screen shot of the first page when you select your device in devicespy so i can see if we can make detection more general to other models and not just your exact model. :)

oh damn it doesnt support HD video what a cracking shame they went all out on new devices and forgot H264 (HD) ok then, new profile will be as follows

  Code:
<Profile id="21" name="LG Smart TV (2012)" extendsProfileId="1">
      <SubtitlesMimeType>text/srt</SubtitlesMimeType>
      <Detection>
           <UPnPSearch>

              <Manufacturer>LG Electronics</Manufacturer>
           </UPnPSearch>
      </Detection>
      <Transcoding>
           <!-- Remux WTV files to MPEG-PS with no transcoding-->
           <Video targetContainer="mpeg">
              <Matches container="wtv" />
           </Video>
           <!-- transcode unsupported video codecs into mpeg-ts, mpeg2video and ac3 audio -->
           <Video targetContainer="mpegts" targetVCodec="mpeg2video" targetACodec="ac3">
              <Matches container="asf" />
              <Matches container="flv" />
              <Matches container="ogg" />
              <Matches container="avi" vCodec="h264" />
              <Matches container="avi" vCodec="mjpeg" />
              <Matches container="avi" vCodec="dvvideo" />
              <Matches container="mp4" vCodec="h264" />
              <Matches container="mp4" vCodec="mjpeg" />
              <Matches container="matroska" vCodec="h264" />
           </Video>
           <!-- unsupported audio will be transcoded into lpcm audio -->
           <Audio targetContainer="lpcm">
              <Matches container="flac" />
              <Matches container="ogg" />
              <Matches container="asf" />
              <Matches container="adts" />
           </Audio>
        </Transcoding>
    </Profile>

Oh and yes if they have header compression they will not work as device doesnt support that, use this howto to sort that http://wiki.serviio.org/doku.php?id=header_com

how do you mean crashes and with your profiles all h264 are convert to mpeg2video, same as my last one.

with my config he plays h264 with dolby digital

No dca(DTS) is converted to AC3 and then with lines you added to profile i gave, its then comverted to mpeg2videoo aswell, i just cut out the middle man with my profile.

Please post your serviio log file.

if i take ur last config
he converts my h264 containing mkv to mpeg (shows me my tv)
if i take ur first config with my little changes he plays the mkv with h264 without transcoding video only the not supportet audio converted to ac3 (dolby digital shows me my tv)
the mkv wit aac and compressed header converts also the audio to a working ac3

i try to debug

so i add a log created with my config and ur config

i think i understand what you are doing wrong though so i now know the profile below is fine but you MUST remove the header compression from that MKV before playing it with the howto i gave you above.

if i add the 2 lines to the confih i dont need to convert it he transcode it perfect and plays all files

transcode ac3 to ac3 works without remuxing or removing something from the files also (aac to ac3)

thats excess transcoding than is needed just spend 2 mins following the howto and then they are not required, plus i doubt ffwd and Rwd will work on tarnscoded files.
