Select correct PID for sound playing TS files

has anyone any experience serving ts files such as would be recorded my MediaPortal? Such files play via Serviio brilliantly to my Panansonic BluRay player, but the default sound track (highest PID) is MPEG which carries the Narrated soundtrack. Leaving the lovely ac3 soundtrack ignored! It's possible to strip off the mpeg soundtrack using a program such as tssniper and if this is done, the ac3 soundtrack is passed through with no problem.

My question is: is it possible to select the correct soundtrack that Serviio sends and if so, how? So it's an issue of selection rather than transcoding. Programs such as MediaPortal have a 'prefer ac3' option in their configurations. It would be great if Serviio did too!

It's not at the moment but similar functionality is planned down the line.

This sounds similar to an issue I have with my Blu-ray ripping software. It seems to change which audio track is flagged as default, and I end up with either a foreign audio track or something with commentary or even the descriptive track for the sight impared. I either have to use another program to change the format and specify the audio I want or use another ripper. I am still evaluating options for another ripper, as I'd rather get what I want with the initial rip.

I have found a few media players (I'm know using the Sony SMP-N200) that allows selecting audio and subtitles. While the Sony doesn't support captions or DD audio on Netflix, I have found it far superior to my Panasonic Blu-Ray players for DLNA streaming.
