Where to find profiles.xml (promise I searched 1st!)

Hi,

I've found that the built-in Panasonic profiles don't work with my DMR-PWT520 and I want to try some of the other Panasonic profiles that have been created. I have searched extensively and seen various information about creating/editing renderer profiles, so I'm reasonably confident that I could have a good crack at it, however what I can't find anywhere is how to find the profiles.xml file in order to be able to edit it. Can someone please post some instructions?

I'm running Serviio on a NAS and controlling it with the console on my Mac.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm a novice at this, but I promise I did search extensively to try and info the answer before posting this!

Cheers
Dan

Hi Moltra

It's OS X Mountain Lion and the NAS is a Synology DS212J

Thanks
Dan

A look over the thread for that NAS suggests it might be in /volume1/@appstore/Serviio/config/profiles.xml

Thanks will. Sorry for for asking what is bound to be a stupid question, but I can't see an '@appstore' directory on the NAS, any idea how I access that? I'm afraid I'm rather bumbling my way through all this!

Thanks
Dan

It may be something special, not sure as I don't have one. Do ls -a to list all files in /volume1/

Did you try just trying it?

Otherwise post in the thread for that NAS.

Thanks will

I will try that, but I don't really know unix so anything I've dabbled with in Terminal has tended to be based on step by step instructions, so I was hoping to find the file in finder or in the NAS's file browser and just edit a copy.

I do have a mate who is conversant, so I think I'll give him a shout and see if he can help.

Cheers though, I appreciate you pointing me in the right direction

It may just be a hidden directory.

Just do

cd /volume1/@appstore/Serviio/config

In one go rather than entering each directory one at a time and checking the one you want is there.
